  • Court fine and bailiff whilst living abroad

hi first post here it’s a long story so I hope you all understand.

As as far as I can work out I was caught speeding sometime before I left to work in germany.

I did did not reply to the letters asking to give my plea etc as I did not know I received any letters.

I am now now living in italy and a few weeks ago a bailiff turned up to my mothers address and demanded over £700 or they would clear her house of furniture etc.

I paid it over the phone and explained my situation and the bailiff said I can appeal it. Is this true?

any advice will be greatly accepted.

    Thanks.
