  • Marstone clamped my car

    Hi
Amethyst suggested I tag you ploddertom
Had my car clamped by Marston's this morning.
Had written to them and sent recorded delivery last week telling them was recently made unemployed and on universal credit since January. Offered to pay £5 a month and made an online payment of £5. They never acknowledged my letter. Just clamped it at 6.30am this morning. Baliff wouldn't reason with me or accept repayment plan offer. Have spoken to office and they wouldn't either.
initial fine was for entering and not exiting a yellow box in Hammersmith.
    please help.
can't do anything including look for work without my car.

Thank you. Before going too much further I have to tell you that because of illness at present my concentration is at a low ebb at present.

Did you receive any of the initial documentation from the Council or TfL? If so did you respond to any of it? I assume you responded to Marston after receiving a Notice of Enforcement from them? What sort of value would you put on your car?

It is not surprising they turned up to clamp as realistically £5pm is insufficient and I would guess they want it paying off over 3 months maximum. Now the vehicle is clamped you are faced with an uphill struggle and you may be better off asking on Pepipoo for help.
