  • Criminal record information

When i was a stupid young 17 year old my friend let me drive his car around a park that we used to all meet at. The police pulled me over and I admitted that I didnt have insurance to drive. Was given a fine and 6 penalty points on my licence.

This was 19 years ago and wondering if this would still be on a criminal record check ?

Have been looking at getting a personal check done on myself but thought I would check first before spending £25 if it stays on forever.

    Thanks

It may well turn up on an enhanced check but for most purposes it will be well & truly spent.

Depends on a number of variables: , whether a fixed penalty notice or conviction in magistrates court/age

Even if this turned up on an enhanced check, it's up to the employer whether they regard it as important.

There's been some important new case law on DBS checks at the end of January this year. You may have seen it in the news as it was quite widely reported. More details here, or just googple.

I don't expect that will be reflected in the current results of a test, as the police systems will have to be changed.
