PS What's this indemnity scheme they mention in the terrible Google reviews, I notice you paid for it?

I am certainly prepared to! I wanted some confidence and advice which you have all kindly provided.

Is the fact the invoice is dated 12th January but my first written rejection was emailed on the 11th make any difference?

Yeah, think that covers if the car is an undeclared write off or outstanding HP etc. Basically their business model is to move trade cars for local dealers or garages. I expect mainly local garages as dealer groups have relationships with Manheim and BCA etc. They've decided that it is possible to not only auction cars but sell them effectively retail. Of course Manheim and BCA don't do this for this exact reason.

Indemnity is clearly a profit making opportunity. You can tell by the tone of their replies they expect to bully and cajole their way around

You have a debit card statement to prove that the transaction was on the 10th
Sorry i'm just thinking out loud, it might be irrelevant, I am not employed in anyway in the legal profession, please ensure you research any advice I give before using it I have been known to be wrong on multiple occasions.

And card receipt. And a recovery receipt to say it was returned on the 10th with suspected head gasket. As well as emails to RCA on the 11th rejecting the vehicle. Only noticed later date on invoice

Wow, creating a false document will NOT look good in court!

              Fraud Act.

Does the fact I have attempted to cancel before the invoice date make a difference?
