  • Council Tax full payment by tomorrow

    Hello everyone,

I lived in a student house for a year (with a two year agreement) I was a student but I decided to leave my university course for reasons I won't state, I moved out but couldn't find anyone to rent my room too so I have been paying the rent whilst living with my family. I got a call from one of my ex housemates yesterday that I had quite a bit of mail, I asked him to open it for me to see what was in it.
Well turns out that I owe Southampton City Council £768.63 which includes a 25% discount down from £1300 odd as my house was in band C because its right in the city center.
In the letter it stated that I had to pay the full amount (no other options for payment) by the 1st of march.
To make it much worse my rent is £406 a month which in the most part is paid by my parents because at work I am on a 0 hour contract and this week I made £25, over the course of 12 months I have made exactly £701.19.

I have no idea what to do, I am really getting stressed about it as I really don't have the means to pay for it and neither do my parents.

Can anyone spare some advice please?
