As a different question. My poor mum..who signed as Guarantor is now being chased for £4000. As per my previous post we were apparantly sent 3 sets of legal forms..one yo my address..one to mums...and one to Mums in both names. Since we only received one in Both names- I filled it out as I am/was tenant and we were both listed as defendants.
Since we only had one set of forms..we sent evidence in and I was placed in to dispute while mum was served a claim.
At the start of the tenancy- mum paid deposit to estate agent who.only served to find an occupant. They took cash and put it in wrong DPS...Landlord had her own. I had to then bugger around trying to get the cash in to the LLs DPS called my deposits and on an inspection day...I had to sign those papers..but not my mum.
Has a contract been broken here ? Despite that I have mountains of evidence..pics..video..texts - this woman is nuts...She visited every 4 weeks for inspection (converted garage bedsit)...wrote me 9notes in 4months..visited without asking me..bought a buddy with her on one inspection who went through my stuff..and in notes would ask me when im going away on trips and to where and shed like the address and phone number. Accused me of owning a dog and subletting..because I had a family visitor for xmas and a cat sitter for two trips away. She'd harrass me and question family as to why they were visiting and when theyd be leaving. In the end no one visited.
She is nuts..the claim.is over damages of mould (texts proving id told her id open windows to air.. and texts to ask her to put heating on as it was controlled from her house...I had no drying or washing facilities so mould wasnt me doing wrong and in fact the advert appears to show condensation box) so now mum is facing 4grand.
This woman had forms forwarded to 2other addresses despite having my address...Before I ever got these forms (7months after I left)
