Re: Noise Nuisance - Dogs
Good for you. As Nem said this does seem vexatious. The problem is you get these little kitchen sink lawyers who do not have the courage or tact to talk reasonably to their neighbours. They get all worked up (or fired up by others giving them ‘I wouldn’t stand for that’ advice) then write a hot headed complaint before properly investigating the issue. I watched my MIL:vixen: spent a fortune on a solicitor because her neighbour put up one new fence panel. It was about 3 inches taller than the old one. My OH eventually spoke to the neighbour who said ‘why didn’t she just tell me’ and cut the ‘offending’ 3 inches off. It took 10 minutes. He then complained to the council because her TV was too loud! They studiously avoid eye contact if they happen to leave or enter the house at the same time but then write to the council / solicitor to complain about each other. Sheer madness!
