  • 2nd Charge

I set my business up in 2006 with the help of a second charge from the bank. The business closed in 2013. I initially made payments but the Credit crunch came and I haven't paid. We also had difficulties with the household bills. We have now cleared all the household debts are ahead with the mortgage and I am now in work and I get hit with a court hearing about reposing the house in March.
I do suffer from mental health problems, which is a major cause of our woes over the last 7 years as I hide things. I have had serious personal issues over debt collecting having cut my wrist quite badly in an attempt to end my life. I think I can deal with this as I know that I need help; I cannot do this on my own.
I am in a position to pay this back. I can pay £500 a month, possibly a little more to start to clear this which is £42,000. I have not tried to dodge this just get to a position where I can pay it back and I can now I am in full time work albeit not terribly well paid it is sufficient.
What is my best course of action. Write to the lender and make my offer? Or is there more to do?
