  • Lender asking me to pay for their independent valuation

    Hello

I have a repossession order over my house by GE.
They have had the court issue two eviction orders but have managed to get these withdrawn due to them not following preaction protocol. I also have a comlaint with the ombudsman as they never respond to my letters of which are sent recorded delivered and many many other issues with the loan aggreement not showing the actual figure at maturity and is very misleading.

I am desperate to get this company off my back as it now is affecting my everyday life and don't think I can take much more.

My house is on the market as I want to sell and pay what I owe but even that they want me to pay for. The reason I'm in this position is because I cannot afford the payments.

They offered to help me sell my house under their assisted voluntary sale scheme but insisted I pay my fees upfront meaning they won't allow the fees to be paid out the sale of the house.
Suggested I borrow the money ?...

I decided not to do this and have asked if they would consider a reduced full and final settlement figure. GE state in order for them to consider this I must pay £112 for them to conduct their own independent valuation. If they want an independent valuation should They not pay? This is just unbelievable.

So basically I'm guessing I won't even be able to sell now as I need to pay them £112 first

should I explain this to the ombudsman?

    Could anyone please advise

    Thank you
