I am a private tennant under a periodic shorthold tennancy, now expired.
I am facing eviction by my landlord's mortgage lender due to landlord's repossession on account of arrears (no fault on my part; all rent paid, property maintained, etc).
I was originally due to be evicted in October but I successfully applied to the court to have the warrant suspended on the grounds that I hadn't been given two months' notice.
The judgement given by the County Court (when I applied to have the warrant suspended) was:
IT IS ORDERED that:-
1. The warrant is suspended until 21 December 2013.
2. The warrant will be relisted on the first available dated after 6 January 2014/
(I believe there's an amnesty on eviction over Christmas).
My question is- what does it mean "The warrant will be relisted"? Does it mean someone can turn up at the door to evict me any time after 06th January, or do they need to write to me again and issue a new notice/ date for eviction (thereby giving me an extra week or two or so)?
I don't intend to cause trouble for the mortgage lender, I just want to get a rough idea how long I have to find a new place.
Thanks for any advice.
