Just a quick one
My monthly mortgage payment is due tomorrow (30th of each month), over the past 2 years I have made each payment early (usually around 28th).
This month I know I'm going to pay them late as I am waiting for a payment for a job I did for the forestry commission but the person that makes the payments via BACS is on holiday until next week, in the past when I've had trouble paying, the mortgage company always imposed a £40 admin charge plus interest.
I know I got money coming to me but not as soon as I'd like, I should have the funds by early next week.
Are they right charging me for paying late or do they have to allow a couple of days before slapping me with a charge?
Btw My mortgage is with GE Money
I will call them tomorrow to let them know payment will be next week
