Hi all,
I would like to ask you a general question about surveyors.
A friend of mine, Sue, has spoken to a Surveyor and asked if they will conduct a survey of a property.
The surveyor agrees to send over their terms and conditions the next day in an email form for Sue to print off return and sign.
The email arrives as agreed the following day and 5 minutes later another email comes in from the surveyor stating that they had a cancellation so they have already conducted out the survey earlier on in the day.
What I would like to know is
A) how can the surveyor carry out the Survey of the property without Sue signing the 'Contract'
B) say Sue changes her mind, after reading the contract and decides she no longer requires the survey to be done, can the surveyors pursue her for the £250.
It seems odd to me that the Surveyor would go ahead and conduct the survey without the client's consent?
Look forward to hearing from you as I am baffled
