  • Concerned about neighbor's tree

I live in Massachusetts. During a recent storm, part of my neighbor's tree fell in my yard causing no damage. He had a tree service clean up the debris. My question is, now that part of the tree is missing, if he was to cut it down or another storm came and the tree caused damage to my property, am I liable for anything even though it is NOT my fault? We do NOT get along and I wanted to see what my options are in case anything was to happen.
    Thanks

Insurance is surely the answer, even in your state. Do not buy a gun.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
