  • Visitor parking land grab

I purchased my property 21yrs ago and with the propert Came a parking space opposite. All the houses in my close of 8 homes (4 x1 bed and 4 x2 bed) had 1 space each and 4 visitor spaces. Now a few years back I was asked to move my Mums car from one of the visitor spaces by a neighbour claiming it belonged to them. For context, this neighbour lives in a one bed starter home and has claimed 3 spaces as theirs!
I went back to my deeds and it clearly shows the spaces marked for visitors. Curious, I went to land registery and lo and behold the spaces are labelled as their property! Subsequently 2 other neighbours have claimed the remaining visitors spaces and now there is a bit of a problem as all the visitor spaces are ‘claimed’. How can this be as they were communal property according to my deeds? I am the person who has lived here the longest and have never been asked about those spaces by an agent of any kind.
can anything be done about this?
