Hi,
Our houses were built in 2019 and at the end of the garden is a 4 foot retaining wall which has a flower bed sloping upwards and then the top (about 8 foot above ground level) of that has our fence and is level with the road over the fence.
Our neighbours all also have this and share the retaining wall - have the sloped bed.
In 2020, our immediate neighbour decided to level theirs and add artificial turf to make a seating area.
However, this means they entirely overlook our garden and into our downstairs windows when they sit here. They regularly have parties and people gather here etc. It wasn’t an issue as a garden bed as you don’t spend much time there, but now in the summer it’s several times a day. Because of the rubbish fence installed, and height of the wall, we have fence for the garden, and then fencing on the bed area, so there is absolutely no privacy or fence.
I was miffed at the time, but now we are thinking of selling soon and know no one will want a garden this overlooked!!
what can I do?
