Re mortgage on a house bought with loan from parents a few days ago ??

Hi, I am having to buy a house before my mortgage comes through with a temporary loan from my parents. I am being told that it is not possible to remortgage the property befor a period of 6months has elapsed but they need the Monet back before then.
I can only presume this is a money laundering precaution. Does anyone know of a way around this. My parents can show that their savings are absolutely legitimate.
