    Dose anyone know what the situation is with a short hold tenancy?
    Can the landlords enter the property at will? Can the tenant refuse them entry?

    To obtain access the minimum notice a landlord is required to give by law is 24 hours.

    Yes, a tenant can refuse access, but that might have consequences. (eg a court order to allow it or even eviction)

      As des8 says.

      The relevant law is s 11 Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.

        Des8 is correct. The LL can give 24 hours notice but you are within your rights to refuse entry. This is usually a huge red flag to the LL who may then begin eviction proceedings at the earliest opportunity. If you tell us more about what is going on we may be able to give more detailed advice
