  • buyer asking for ?compensation

Hi, I hope I'm in the right place

we recently sold our house, last month in fact. The buyer has today asked for £750 for a new floor due to a tear in the lino in one of the rooms and the hole in the wall where the TV had previously been before we took it down to move.

    is this something that happens?

do we have to pay them?

I'm sure they didnt know what the wall looked like behind the TV, but I'm not sure how they thought it was fixed. I'm a bit baffled by it all. they got in touch today through our solicitor.

    Thanks in advance

Thank you, i didn't think so but wasn't sure if I was being daft.

I panicked a bit, but now with retrospect it doesn't sound right.
