Hi all, just looking for a piece of advice please.
I am looking to obtain whatever documents would prove unequivocally that a property belongs outright to my wife and I. As in, if there was no access to digital records, or if these had been corrupted or lost (they haven't, this is hypothetical!), then what documents would prove the property is ours alone and is not subject to any mortgage etc.? I have emailed the Land Registry and got a cut-and-paste response that explains how to obtain Official Copies of the register and plan. I already have these and whilst they of course list our names as owners this somehow doesn't seem like it holds enough information about ownership such as the fact that no mortgage exists for the property. Does what I'm looking for exist, or is this something I've just dreamed up? Thanks so much in advance!
