  • Neighbour will not trim tree that is dangerously on our side of garden

neighbouring property is a managed HMO and the back garden has become seriously overgrown. One of the trees is dangerously hanging over my garden.
I have spoken to Management Company who have refused to deal with the matter and passed it over to the property owner.
The property owner has stated that I can trim the tree at my expense but they will not pay.
Are there any legal rights to get the tree cut down.
Got Council involved but the tree is on private property so will not deal with it.

You have permission to trim the tree where it overhangs. I would say do so (and notify your neighbour in advance to avoid any dispute) and pay for it yourself if you are concerned that it is dangerous.
