Hello,
My legal expense insurer (LEI) is DAS. I have £50,000 of indemnity cover from them under my home insurance policy.
I have a boundary dispute following a boundary infringement by a neighbour when she was erecting a new garden fence. My claim involves reinstatement repairs at our boundary and replacement of my own fence, which she deliberately damaged in the process. Total costs estimated at £1,600 plus legal fees.
DAS agreed my claim was valid but could only offer representation by 3 firms of solicitors from their panel for such disputes. Turned out one was conflicted, another was useless and the third is their own claims management outfit DAS Law.
Can anyone recommend a firm of solicitors, ideally in Warwickshire or Oxfordshire, willing to work according to DAS's terms and conditions? Not least the fact they will only pay local County Court guideline hourly rates and set a budget of around only £2,000 for pre-Court costs including reviewing the case and preparing an initial claims management report at a maximum time cost of 2-3 hours.
Thanks
