I run an HMO and under the old rules there was no requirement to license as we were under the six persons rule. The house has myself and my wife and four lodgers. Do we need mandatory licensing. I don't want to ask my council as they wont talk to me without a name address and telephone number so they can ring back. I need to keep my head down. The property comprises two buildings one is the main house with three toilets and two bathrooms for us and the annexe with two room and a shower room but no kitchen.
