I have just been on MCOL to check if a tenant defendant has filed an Acknowledgement of Service (in relation to rent arrears).Seeing that there is no acknowledgement of service on the system, I hit the Enter Judgement button (I know that if you try to enter judgement before the end of the 14-day window, the system will not let you do that). Once I entered the 'enter judgement' page, there is a note saying that if I served separate particulars of claim, I have to serve a 'certificate of service' within 14-days before I can enter judgement.
1. I sent separate particulars of claim by post and e-mail;
2. The defendant has acknowledged receipt of the PoC
Issues
I would be grateful if members could
1. please let me know exactly what form the 'certificate of service' needs to be and
2. advise on what might be the most efficient way of filing the 'certificate of service' with the Court.
Thank you all in advance.
