  • Help :/ :/

I used to run a youth football club in which I set this up in 2017. I put allot of money into the youth football club. After years of building the brand and building it to be a good setup I had to step down as chairman of the organisation due to my mum being diagnosed with cancer. Since I started up the football club I was always taking the money out and putting the money back into the club but they didn’t like that when I left and now have contacted the police. I have now got a voluntary police interview in the next few days and have a solicitor but don’t know want do. I have since August and have evidence of myself trying to sort this out but they are having none of it.

This will be my very first time on the wrong side of the law.

Can you tell us more about "I was always taking the money out and putting the money back in..."
All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience. I am not a lawyer and do not hold any legal qualifications.

I hope you don't mind me saying that the best source of advice will be your solicitor.

That said, do you have records showing all that you withdrew from the club's account and all that you returned, with dates etc?

By the way, if a solicitor did this from his client account, he would be struck off, even if every single penny was always returned.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
