  • Is Fortune telling punishable?

We all know about Nostradamus' predictions. though some debate, it was baseless, some believe they came true. I happen to come across a blog about fortune telling. It said paid fortune telling is illegal. It falls in the section of fraudulent.
Here is this blog (link removed)
Now, I know a lady across the street who is a palmist. Though, she does it as a hobby, I wonder what would be her fortune if she takes fee.

Is it a serious offence to be a professional fortune teller in Canada?

    Hi and Welcome

As this is a UK site, dealing mainly with UK consumer rights, you might struggle to get a discussion going.
However a quick Google came up with this : http://www.religioustolerance.org/wic_can.htm

                      http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/witch...ail/story.html

"In Yorkshire they were more tolerant than in other parts of the country but many were still punished and killed."Most of the women were old and many were just eccentric.
"It was probable a good number of them suffered from dementia.
"If you were ugly or had moles then you could be in trouble."
Good job theres no witch hunters looking round Yorkshire nightclubs at the mo,, place would be empty

                          http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...d-Stinker.html

Over the past months, witnesses have come forward to speak of spotting a huge, hairy creature around the Barmston Drain, a man-made channel near the town of Beverley. Some locals believe the sightings are evidence of a mythical Yorkshire beast called 'Old Stinker'
                          commonly called Yorkshire Man

Another couple said they saw something 'tall and hairy' eating a dog next to the channel, which runs through the countryside
