Third party obtaining Defence Documentation

If A takes action against B, and B submits defence.

Subsequently C takes action against B for an unrelated issue, can C obtain B's defence to A from the courts? Or would there have to be communication between C & A?

C raised the issue of A vs B in their case and seemed to know way too much. They had to have seen the defence documents. We're curious how they got them...

Statements of Case, including Defences, are in theory public documents and can be obtained from the court by anyone for any reason. Refer to http://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/pro...es/part05#5.4C
