  • Angry with the Police - Any advice Please

In 2008, I was arrested by the police on suspicion on harassment.

I was kept detained for 10 hours without food and one hot drink.

I was unable to take my medication that day as I am disabled with health issues.

I was released on bail for around 6 months.

The CPS told the police to take no further action and drop the charges. The officer was angry at the decision, she appealed, and was again turned down.

During this time I had a mental health care worker whom was concerned at the stress levels affecting my depression.

She met up with the police and told them of my problems and that my health as such I was in no fit state to harass anyone.

The police didnt care and persued me for an asbo.

The witnesses that the police used against me were a disgrace; onehad been an in-patient of a mental hospital, one witness had been in prison for various offences, another witness had been involved in problems on a housing estate, 3 others were unknown to me as I had never spoken to them.

I had a lot of evidence which I had taken to court i.e photographs, bt phone bills, and a 300 page diary of the neighbour's behaviour towards me.

The asbo was issued regardless I was innocent or not; the elderly complainant knew the magistrate; I raised this complaint with my barrister who failed to notify the court that their was a conflict of interest.

Although the asbo has now ended, I am trying in vain to clear my name.

In December last year, I had a meeting with the Chief Inspector and I shown him some serious concerns that the elderly couple had lied across a number of statements; he dismissed my bt phone bills saying someone else could be in the house making the phone call!!

This would be impossible as I was in the house on my own with my husband being a work.

He never acklnowedged the photographs I had shown to him to show further lies!!

I am so stressed that the police have allowed this elderly couple to tell lies and get away with it!!

Even complaining to the IPCC has done very little to prove this to the authorities!!

What can I do now, any advice please!!

Sounds terrible Spellkaster. Why don't you go and see or write to your local MP?

I am trying to construct a letter now, it may take at least 3 pages as my complaint is lengthy.

I dont know if my mp can do anything about this?

After all, it is a criminal offence to give misleading information to the police to gain a wrongful conviction, yet no one wants to know about this elderly couple!!
