  • Help on hotel bills

Hi all, do hope you are all well.

I am due in court in January it is a big case and will go on for 4-6 weeks or even longer.

It is being held in a london court and i live up north.

I will be requred every day so will need to stay in london. I can not afford any accommodation down there is there any help i can get to help pay the cost?

    I am the defendant.

    thank you

Is it the High Court you are required to attend?

Old Bailey is in the City of London. Having been a policeman in Central London, I can tell you to avoid the large hotels and certainly those near to the City. There are some small private hotels in and around the Victoria and Pimlico area that are reasonably-priced, but don't forget you are in London. The one I have provided a link for has been in business for a long time and was on my beat.

You will need to speak to them about room charges.

The link below is taken from the TfL website and is as the Underground network is today, but it will give you an idea of how to get to Old Bailey from the Victoria or Pimlico area.

Only if you commit a crime like dropping litter, however if you are a politician though you could get away with murder.

                        You could try contacting http://www.justice.gov.uk/downloads/...r-guidance.pdf

If they can't help, maybe they can point you in the right direction.

                            Hi

I have rang the cps and got told to ring the court which i did.

There reply was that they did not know and to wait. They did say that i could claim after the trial but i am not sure if The Lanesborough Hotel RoyalSuite would let me have credit that long....

If anyone has tried or heard of help out there please let me know.
