I don't know, I hope it wasn't distressing for your sister. TBH, I'd be happy to be pulled over and checked if it helps catch the scum that deal drugs.

Yeah I agree but now she has a tag on her car which is not fair . She has never had a conviction for any thing , the police are obviously aware of what goes on around there so it won't be long , the person she visits has nothing to do with it. But unfortunately can't afford to move and has lived there longer than the people downstairs . And she has gone down every road ,landlord, police, council ect but has been told it is a waiting game as innocent until proven guilty,

Unfortunately, police intelligence isn't always 100% accurate. It might not be a bad idea for her to speak to the Superintendent at her local station about this. Tarring everyone with the same brush, simply because they live in the same area as known drug dealers is unwise and could work against the police who, more often than not, rely on the goodwill and co-operation of the public in the fight against drug dealers.

Would it not also been deemed as storing inaccurate date about her? After all you can not say a person is dishonest when no proof they are, so same should apply to having someone on a list of suspected drug user/dealer.

I take it your saying the data is inaccurate problem with police intelligence must be until a person is questioned the facts cannot be verified do the police carry on as now or ignore the info they have if we want a safe society the police must do there job with the safeguard that the guilty are punished and the innocent are not hopefully the sister does not get pulled up again but we do not have a perfect police force who only stop the criminals

I agree with BB here, that perhaps the best thing is to have a word with the local plod and explain the awkward position they are in. At least then the police know she is not part of it.
