  • Contract changes without consultation

I am training with a charity and have been for a while.

When I signed up with them we both signed a contract saying that I would not be charged ANY fees (other than membership of the charity) and they would fund my training.

2 days ago we received an email from our TUTORS saying that from April 1st we are to be charged a quarterly and yearly sum to continue our course.

Am I right in thinking that they are on very shakey grounds with this?

There has been no consultations and tbh no formal notification. I'd thought for something this major there would need to be formal letters posted out? And new contracts to sign?

    Anyone any help?

I'm not employed by them yet....

but we signed a contract when I started that basically said I would work for them for 3 years after qualification and they would fund my training.

They are now saying I have to pay, as well as everyone else on the same contract.

        Hi Mrs G,

I'm probably being thick here, but could you explain how this contract works? (ie - are you under a contract of employment?)
How long ago did you sign?
