Legal Charge/Personal Guarantee

If a person enters into a legal charge and gives a personal guarantee, is the legal charge enforceable if the guarantee has been terminated by operation of the law?
The Legal Charge is expressed as irrevocable, but the Guarantee isnt expressed in this way.
