  • Received a letter saying she had instructed a solicitor

Received from my neighbour a letter saying she had instructed a solicitor to make me
mend my fence could a solicitor be struck for writing or giving them authority
for someone to say they are acting for them in a hand written badly written letter at that
and also the letter was completely wrong as I informed the council which she also
informed there environmental officer which was also unfounded and they apologised. Should I just inform the Police about the letter.
help much appreciated. Hope this all makes some sense and that this is the correct place to put this on the forum

I would say that this is bravado and I would ignore the letter.

I agree, sit it out and wait it out, but I bet it will be a long one.

Just as an aside is it your fence ? Are you responsible for it or is it a council property ?
