  • Is it illegal for a recipient to share a senders privately emailed documents?

Unsure if this is a GDPR issue or something else. I sent an email a while back, which contained a screenshot of a my bank statement as a part of a private financial settlement.
The recipient later forwarded that data to her fellow Directors of the Company, of which I am a Shareholder. The Directors then sent this info to the Compnay solicitors who included it in a bundle of evidence put forward to the civil courts.
Is that a breach of anything, or is it legal and above board?

Which courts was this sent to? How many courts are dealing with your various cases?
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

same courts (civil) same case. part of the disclosure included these private attachments. I just cant understand if its a breach of GDPR, or something else or nothing at all? It feels like a breach of something fundamental to be able to distribute private stuff without consequence.

        OK, one singular court.
