My mum sadly passed away in July last year.
Probate was applied for towards end of September.
The inheritance tax was called for and paid for in October.
I understand the tax came to £40K.
Brother received letter from HMRC saying Probate will be within 12 weeks.
Does this mean that Probate should be due sometime this month or next month.
I can't understand why it takes 12 weeks to send a bit of paper out!!
