    Business Using Photograph Of Me

    Hi,

    I'm currently in debate to have a business remove photographs of myself from their social media and also printed material such as business cards and posters.

    I have made a request to them with a deadline to remove it by before I will ask a solicitor to send a letter for me.

    However I'm wondering what other steps I should take. Should I put this request in writing and deliver this by post rather than a message so that I can say that a formal written request has been made?

    Is there any specific law/legislation I can quote to support my request for them to remove images of me?

      The photos would have been taken whilst I was working for that business.

      However "working" is a loose term as I was never contracted to that company, have never signed a contract, nor have I ever signed a photographic release form.

        So they dont have your consent, and your contract doesnt give consent expressly then you may wish to draw their attention to the fact that your personal data is being processed by them without your consent and you require them to cease with immediate effect. that may get the result you are looking for
