What can I do when the Police refuse to take action against someone who has over the last year assaulted me for which I have 3 witnesses, harassed me including messages containing threats to make matters worse, has caused criminal damage to my car and caravan initially by slashing the tyres the day after threatening to make things worse and then when I put up CCTV to protect them by shooting at my car on 3 occasions. Then just 2 days before a court appeal hearing on a matter where he had given false information which I was now going to show him up as a liar in he took to shooting at me in my bedroom.
Following this I have been subject to phone calls telling me I am going to die and then my house was shot at yet again and was seen acting very suspiciously at the time of this second shooting incident by a neighbour.
The police force have fobbed off every call I have made, for example on the night I was shot at they claim they couldn't go and look for evidence in the early hours of the morning, just 20 minutes after the incident this due to not being reasonable to wake someone up, the someone whose house was still lit up and kitchen door still open, instead taking me to the police station keeping me there for 3 hours and insulting me with comments of "next time he shoots at you I would call and estate agent rather than the Police!"
Thus far I have taken the matter to my MP, Police and Crime Commissioner, Chief Constable, the police forces professional standards dept who have appointed a Sgt to investigate who has dragged the matter out for over a year.
I have contacted the IoPC (IPCC) who tell me that I have to wait until the force have completed their investigations.
As you can likely imagine this is having a detrimental toll on my health especially with the perpetrator living just 30 yards away.
What options do I have as I am at my wits end with all this and it seems this person has immunity from any police action and there seems to be no attempt on the behalf of the Police to stop this continuing, indeed it seems he takes their lack of action as a means to keep stepping up his action
