  • Signed documents without reading

3 weeks ago my solicitor had me sign some documents with an older date on them and I'm concerned, I was in a rush and didn't read what I was signing.

I receive legal aid and signed everything back in May, they have the certificate and everything. Yet now over 4 months later I signed some documents with May date on it she just pulled the signing part out from under another paper on top of it saying it's just something I forgot to sign in May. I also signed some papers to do with another side issue I was told theyre legal aid papers but I remember signing them already 2 days previously. They also had the 2 days previous date on them and I didn't read them she had the signing page ready and asked me to sign them and I did.

Since then I've been nervous because I don't like signing documents without reading them first. I'm not too worried about the other more recent ones but what was the May one, they already have the legal aid certificate.

I want to ask to read what I signed but I'm worried they will take it personally. The law firm is good but the supervisor of the solicitor I have is not and neither is my solicitor sometimes. If I were paying for my own case I would not be with them.

How do I find out what I signed without making things worse with them?

'Sorry to trouble you. I signed some documents a couple of weeks ago, and I would appreciate a copy please.'

Or just forget about it, but always read before signing in future.
