court mess up!

I applied for an adjournment on my hearing for repossion and was granted a new case date on the 23rd of september and recieved it in writing from ilford county court that that was the new date.

Yet today recieved that the hearing on the 18th went ahead and my mortgage company recieved possession! again on county court paper!

As the adjournment was given first what do i do now?

Re: court mess up!

Telephone Ilford County Court tomorrow morning and ask them to explain what you have just received, given that you have it in writing that the hearing is not due to take place for another three weeks.

It is not unheard of for courts to change hearing dates arbitrarily, although obviously they should let you know first!
