  • CMS Liability Order & Paternaty test requests.

    Hi all,
Just looking for a bit of advice if possible,

I have been going through a long standing battle with the Child Maintenance Service (formally the CSA), they are claiming moneys owed despite never responding or contracting with them. No agreement was signed on my part for moneys claimed. Now the problem being is they have gone to court of been granted what they claim is a liability order even though this does not appear to have a court stamp and seems a poor photocopy signed by what looks to be a clerk of the court.
What I am wishing to do is contest this amount "owed" on the grounds that I suspect the claimed for children may not actually be mine but with the liability order present, it puts this on a 21 day deadline before they are claiming they will be ruining my credit rating.

Is there anything I can do to put a stop to this and furthermore appeal the order on the grounds of no contract along with the demand for a paternity test? Is there any advice you could recommend to get a handle on this as it seems to be escalating quickly?
