  • Question regarding serving forms

Hello I have received my papers from the court to serve to my ex partner but have a question.

it says there are two ways to serve, by 1st class post OR by handing the forms to the person I'm serving to. Does this include hand posting them through her letter box as this is technically no different to mr postman putting them through her door.

    thank you in advance.

    Re: Question regarding serving forms

    Hi James,
not legally trained but i can tell you this for free . either you have a recorded delivery which has to be signed for, hence evidence or if you post it through the door whos to say you did, apart from you. if you then dont do things in the prescribed order i.e. procedural rules you could fall foul of the rules. you don't want to be there do you, i presume. is there the possibility that you can pay the court to serve the papers on your behalf? choice my friend as they say is yours.
