If divorce abroad, automatically divorced in UK?

Hi all,

My ex-wife and I got married in the UK in 2010. In 2011 we moved to China. We divorced in a Chinese court in 2020. As such, we have a UK marriage certificate along with an official divorce certificate issued by a Chinese court.

I have a nagging feeling that technically we are still married under UK law. Can anyone confirm this? If so, what should be the next course of action to finalise our divorce in the UK?
