  • Is it possible to keep my new surname/ address private from ex?

I wish to change my legal surname - however ex still (albeit very sporadically, from overseas) pays child maintenance, and as far as I know, needs to have my legal surname (which is the account name) to be able to make the international transfer. I don't want him to know my new surname, which is the only reason why I have not yet changed it - does anyone know any way around this?

Secondly I have to sell the house in the next year - although he knows where we live currently, I don't want to inform him exactly where we move to. Court order only allows him indirect contact with the children in the form of letters (although he largely doesn't bother sending any). Children don't reciprocate and don't want any contact. I am concerned about letting him know exactly where I am moving to (kids will stay in same school). Is there a way I can prevent him from knowing where I move to and yet continue to enable him to send letters (is it possible to have a PO box or similar, as I'd rather not ask a friend to act as intermediary).

    Thanks
