  • Child arrangement order

May I have your thoughts on this please,
Friend has a CAO whereby during term time he has his 2 children for 1 overnight stay midweek, and alternate weekends Friday after school until school on Monday morning. School holidays 50/50 and equal custody when he secures permanent accommodation. He had a rota made up covering the school summer holidays right up to the term time arrangements recommencing when the schools re-opened in September. Unfortunately a date error was made in respect of his first term time weekend with the children. His ex clearly didn't notice/query the date error and is adamant the dates in the proposed rota stand. This would mean his ex would have the children 2 weekends in a row. I've suggested that dad has the children the following 2 weekends in a row to even things up, but as there is a court order in place that states alternate weekends term time he thinks that if he agreed to is ex's request he could be heavily punished as it would put him in breach of the order? Any advice appreciated.
