  • Buying a car on HP.

Hi, I need to buy a car (as the lease car we had as a couple ends next month) but we haven't agreed how to split the assets yet.
I have savings of £22k and what to buy a car on HP, putting down a £10k deposit and the remaining (£9k ish) on HP credit.
I'm not wanting to hide anything in the settlement but I'm wondering if this is ok?

Talk to your (former) other half about this. The cheapest divorces are those where people still talk to each other.

Thank you, however our divorce is not going to be cheap as we don't talk. I'll be open and honest when completing Form E and I can see no reason why I can't buy a car I need using savings and credit in my name and declaring everything on Form E, But I don't want to do anythng wrong.
