After many years, my wife has intimated she wants to do her own thing. I guess we've simply been in a platonic relationship for some time/ However, recently she has been saying she wants to be alone and has intimated buying me out of the property, something I am unhappy about at my age and with the current economic climate only going to worsen. Last night we had a discussion where I intimated my unwillingness to move out at this point and though she appeared unhappy at this it was accepted. Equally, I said that she shouldn't move out either, which was a plan of hers at one point but seems to be no longer.
We have a joint account and are now moving to separate accounts. I presumed that the main current account would be retained for mortgage/utilities/council tax, etc, but in conversation last night it transpired that she wants my contributions paid into her new account! I am deeply concerned about this and how this would impinge on my credit score and as such I am reluctant to do so.
Does anyone have any input?
