I'm just starting the financial prep in my divorce process.
My husband is a lawyer, so I feel disadvantaged to begin with.
Regarding form e, obviously any lies are taken very seriously, but info from his company, he is a partner, would be taken as genuine. It has come to my notice, that when applying for a mortgage in 2012, my husband needed bonus info for the current year. As the accounts had not been completed, the mortgage company stated they would accept a letter from the practice manager.
I have come across these recently. It contained a covering letter to my husband, stating that 2 copies had been enclosed, and he could choose which one he wanted to use.
Each letter was dated the same date, and contained his earnings and bonus for the year. One copy was higher than the other. Each of these letters contained a print out of company financial details, which related to each letter.
So, if any info on form e, is from his company, could I produce these as evidence to state that they maybe cannot be believed?
Also on these letters, wouldnt it be mortgage fraud, if the higher of the 2 was used and is it not fraudulent of the practice manager to produce these in the first place, or at least bad practice.
Your views and help would be much appreciated.
