Myself and my wife separated in January 2017, we went to court and a Mesher Order was agreed were she has the house until the kids are 18 as she was unable to take me out of the mortgage.
I have recently found out that she is in the process of buying a holiday home in Spain and has the DWP paying the interest on the mortgage of the marital home.
I dont feel this is fair that I am tried into a Mortgage for the next 15 years when she is now able to buy a second home, surely she should be buying me out of the marital home; one to secure it for herself and the kids but also release me from the mortgage so that myself and my new partner can buy our own place.
I think she may be buying the holiday home out right rather than on finance.
How do I go about putting pressure on her to release me from the mortgage now she has the funds, if it is possible?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
