I am trying to get hold of a copy of the Formal/Final Order made to my ex-husband in relation to his pension as part of our divorce settlement. To the best of my knowledge I never saw this and presume it was dealt with by our respective solicitors and the Courts.
I have contacted the court with the case reference number only to be told that the records have been destroyed and are only kept for so many years.
Similarly, my solicitor has long since retired and her firm no longer have the files.
Is there anywhere else I can get a copy of this from?
I strongly suspect my ex-husband has taken a lump sum (of which I was due 50%) from his pension pot after taking early retirement. I have spoken to the pension trustee and her comment leads me to believe that they do not possess the order.
I strongly suspect it will cost me more to pursue this through legal channels than it is worth but don't want to give up at the first hurdle.
Any suggestions where I go to next?
