Going to try to make this short as possible... Firstly not sure if this is the right place to post this sort of advice!!! :tinysmile_aha_t:
Got talking to a one of my son's class mate's mum, and found out even though her husband has been here 20 years and she has for 8, have four children together in the UK, they have no immigration status. They have recently written to the home office and are waiting reply. The husband cared for his disabled brother so he survived financially because of him, but now the brother has his own family and has moved away. The family can not work and now have no financial support, can't pay rent or even buy food. They have gone to the social workers who are refusing to help because the children don't appear to be in any harm. Obviously the children have been safe regarding other issues but now no food or soon even a roof over their head should require some support for them?
I have read up on Section 17 of the Children's Act and seemed the social workers have acted unfairly and suggestions......?.. Or advice for this family please???
