  • Getting a visa for Egyptian Fiance.

Hi, I am not sure if I am in the correct section, but I am trying to find information on getting a visa for my Egyptian fiance, I have been told there is no chance of getting her a visit visa as she would be a high risk for over staying and claiming asylum, which of course she would not. I am also told if I get her a fiance visa and we decide to marry then we have to go through the whole process again when married, costing around £1500 each time. I wanted her to spend some time over here to see if she would be able to settle ok first and also to meet my family, but that does not seem to be the way the government sees it. So it looks like we will have to marry in Cairo and work with the embassy there before having a blessing over here.
If any one has any useful advice or information I would be most grateful.

To apply the visa application, you need to collect all the possible documents with passport size photo.

Most of us Beagles live in the UK so we are not experts on the subject of visas. I have an Egyptian friend living in Cairo, was going to ask him, but then remembered he married a Spaniard 25 years ago and got a Spanish passport.

This site has all the info necessary for the various types of visas. You can choose 'Tourism' or 'Join partner or family for a long stay': https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa/y/egypt/family

This is the site of the British Embassy in Cairo: https://www.gov.uk/government/world/...-embassy-cairo

This is an article that may be useful as it gives some examples of rejections and the reasons why the applicants were rejected: http://scoopempire.com/whatever-happ...isa-egyptians/

In the UK you need to use a VAF4A application form (from what I can see) Look here ( http://www.foreignersinuk.co.uk/guid...ents_3762.html ) and here ( http://www.foreignersinuk.co.uk/guid...ners_3540.html ) for extra info
